Dr. Jo-Ann Latkowski is an Associate Professor of Dermatology in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. She is Director of the NYU Dermatology residency program, which most recently was ranked the #3 Dermatology Residency Program in the US by US News and World Report and the highest ranked residency program at NYU Langone Medical Center. In her capacity as Program Director, Dr. Latkowski serves on many institutional and departmental committees including the NYU Graduate Medical Education Committee and NYU Accreditation Oversight Committee. She is also the Chief of Dermatology at the New York Harbor Veterans Affair Healthcare System, New York campus. Dr. Latkowski oversees the operations of one of the busiest VA Dermatology clinics nationwide with over 11,000 clinic visits each year, 5 full time faculty, 16 voluntary faculty and 6 residents.
Dr. Latkowski graduated from NYU Grossman School of Medicine in 1995 and completed her internship in Boston at Beth Israel Hospital before returning to NYU to pursue Dermatology (Chief Resident, 1998-1999). She joined the faculty of the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU in 1999. Dr. Latkowski is a clinical expert in cutaneous lymphoma and a master educator. She teaches residents and medical students at the Manhattan VA Hospital and Bellevue Hospital where she established the Cutaneous Lymphoma Clinic. By caring for hundreds of patients with cutaneous lymphoma in the last 20 years, Dr. Latkowski has acquired an expertise that is shared by only a few academic dermatologists nationwide. She has lectured on all topics related to cutaneous lymphoma both locally and nationally. In recognition of her exemplary commitment to resident education and well-being, Dr. Latkowski was awarded the “Resident Advocate of the Year Award” by the NYU Dermatology Residents in 2009, 2013 and 2017. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Dermatological Association, the Association of Professors of Dermatology, and in 2017 Co-founded the New York Consortium for Cutaneous Lymphoma with faculty from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Columbia University.
